Tarot Deck Interview: Tarot Ecological

An Interview Your Tarot Deck spread.

Tarot Ecological 23/1/23.

Moon Waxing in Aquarius.

  1. Please introduce yourself: 10 of Energy/ 10 of Wands. Obligation, responsibility, burden. A person is foraging, or searching in a chaotic overgrown area. They carry a heavy sack, and the leaves and wood around them are sharp. It looks like they have come across an old gate with a partially torn ‘exit’ sign. The interpretation of the artist: a youth helping to clean up after a natural disaster, cleaning up an animal conservatory after Hurricane Irma. In terms of the deck introducing itself, it suggests this is a deck to come to with a settled mind, not one with 100 thoughts going at once. This is a card of ‘doing too much’. A deck that’s asking for focus and slow steady work. It’s also saying it’s a deck that has a different artist for every card, so has scattered energy, and is a busy deck.
  2. Your strengths as a deck: Ace of Air/Ace of Swords. This is a deck for travelling new paths, taking that first breath. It’s sword energy cuts through the fluff, so not a deck to bullshit around with. It has serious messages of ecology and environment, and expects me to bring important matters to it. Objectivity, and an expectation that I’m willing start over if necesary.
  3. Your limitations as a deck: Justice. Almost stating and seeing things too baldly, too truthfully. The blindfold is off the Justice card, and this is not a woman or a deck to mess about with. Not a deck that will let me get away with anything.
  4. What can I learn from you? 9 of Air/9 of Swords. This is a deck about mental health, so I should bring those questions. My torment and scattered thinking will be addressed by this deck. That’s what is of importance with this deck, my own internal ecology. The woman is tormented by crows flying around her, and she is unable to see the beautiful pure aurora behind her.
  5. What is the best way to work with you? 5 of Water/5 of Cups. A girl sits pensively beside a puffin nest. The eggs are broken, but she fails to see two eggs on a ledge behind her, one hatching. Come to this deck with a view that the suffering and mental anguish is a thing of the past, and I need to view it as such. Ask more about how to release, how to move past, rather than why, why, where did all this come from.
  6. Outcome of our relationship: Nurturer of Water/Queen of Cups. A sea queen sits in the ocean depths with fish around her. She holds a glass cup with butterflies within it. Kelp surrounds her, and above her are the dark outlines of sharks. “Never be ashamed of the emotion and compassion you feel. Utilise feelings to help you flow through life.” I will be able to maintain light even though darkness is around me.
